The first step in bringing a furnished vacation rental in Toulon into compliance is to register it. The regulatory landscape is currently in transition, shifting from the simple registration process currently in place to the upcoming nationwide registration system. This page explains both systems, outlines the responsibilities between you and us, and details the risks you face if you neglect this requirement.

In Toulon, housing requires a simple declaration at city hall, which assigns you a housing reference number. At the time our contracts were signed, the city had not yet implemented the declaration procedure requiring registration.
The law of November 19, 2024, requires the registration of all furnished vacation rentals through a single national online service, with a mandatory 13-digit number required on all listings, regardless of the municipality and whether or not the property is a primary residence. The rollout is underway: we will notify you as soon as the procedure applies to your property. You will then have fifteen days to complete the registration and provide us with the number.
You're never on your own when using our online service: we provide a step-by-step tutorial and assistance if you get stuck, and we'll then add the number to each of your listings on Airbnb, Booking, or Abritel.
Taking this requirement lightly. The penalties are severe: up to €10,000 for failure to register, and up to €20,000 for making a false statement or using a fake number.
If no number is provided within the specified time frame, and after a reminder goes unanswered for eight days, we will suspend the publication of the listings. Our proportional fees do not accrue during the suspension. Bookings that have already been confirmed will still be honored and guests will still be accommodated, but nothing prevents a platform from suspending a non-compliant listing on its own, or even canceling bookings.
Why is it my responsibility to file the return?
Because it must be linked to your email address as the property owner. We provide the step-by-step guide, remain available throughout the process, and take over as soon as the receipt is obtained.
What happens if I'm late in submitting the number?
We are sending you a reminder. If no action is taken within eight days, the publication of the ads will be suspended until the matter is resolved, with no proportional fees charged during that time. Compliance protects everyone—you first and foremost.
Does this number apply to all my property?
No. It is tied to the residence: each property has its own declaration and number. Section 7.3 explains how to add an additional property without having to go through the entire process again.
Does the registration apply to my primary residence?
Yes. The expansion applies to all furnished vacation rentals—including primary residences—in all municipalities. Only the operating rules differ, as explained on page 0.5.
