The Process of a Rotation

Departure, inspection, cleaning, laundry, refurbishment, arrival: a sequence of steps that must be completed within a time frame that can never be extended.

Between the departure of one guest at 11 a.m. and the arrival of the next at 3 p.m., a precise routine unfolds: inspecting, cleaning, changing linens, restocking, checking, and welcoming guests. This is the rotation—the operational heart of the concierge profession—and what distinguishes a professional short-term rental from an improvised operation.

This page outlines the seven steps of each cleaning cycle and explains what the cleaning service systematically covers, even when the home appears spotless.

Landmark

Any damage observed must be reported within twenty-four business hours, along with supporting photographs. Therefore, a departure on Friday evening may be reported to you on Monday.

The Seven Steps
What the household always covers

Even when a rental unit looks spotless, getting it back into rental condition requires washing the dishes, cleaning the insides of closets and drawers, dusting, cleaning the bathrooms, and making the beds. A guest never leaves a rental unit ready to be rented out again.

Good to Know

A visual inspection at the start of each shift is your first line of defense: any damage detected early is documented and addressed within the platforms’ timeframes, as described on page 5.1.

The Mistake to Avoid

Believing that a property that looks clean can be rented out again as is. Dirty dishes left out, drawers, bathrooms—everything needs to be cleaned again after each guest, because it’s the difference between “clean” and “ready to rent out again” that determines the reviews.

Points to Watch For
Warning

The time slot between two stays is limited: a 11:00 a.m. check-out and a 3:00 p.m. check-in leave four hours for everything. This is why a minimum stay is required during peak season.

Frequently Asked Questions

What happens if the guest leaves the rental very dirty?

In most cases, the flat rate remains fixed. However, a dwelling that is clearly damaged is subject to the damage procedure described on page 5.1.

When am I notified of a breakage?

Within twenty-four business hours of the incident being reported, with supporting photographs. A departure on Friday evening may therefore be reported to you on Monday.

Why clean again if everything looks clean?

Because getting a rental property ready for the next tenant goes beyond just appearances: dishes, cabinets, drawers, dust, bathrooms, and beds. A home may look clean without actually being ready to rent out again.

Why impose a minimum stay during peak season?

Because the four-hour window between departure and arrival cannot be extended: fewer trips means a manageable schedule and fewer cleaning fees for travelers.
