File a Claim and Receive Compensation

There are three possible options, depending on the cause of the damage and the booking channel.

Receiving compensation is less a matter of luck than of how your case is handled: choosing the right course of action, providing the right documentation, and meeting the deadlines. In short-term rentals, three types of coverage may apply depending on the circumstances, and going to the wrong place wastes time—and the reporting deadlines leave no room for error.

This page outlines the three options, lists the documents needed to build a strong case, and explains what happens once compensation is awarded.

Landmark

The deadlines are tight: each warranty has its own reporting deadline, often just a few days. Meeting this deadline is crucial.

After Compensation

Once you've been compensated, we'll take care of the purchases and replacements. You don't have to handle the repairs.

Good to Know

We handle the entire process of preparing platform warranty and supplemental warranty applications. Your role is limited to making decisions and, for building insurance, filing claims with our support.

The Mistake to Avoid

Don't count on a standard personal property insurance policy to cover damage to furniture and personal items: it rarely provides coverage for this, even though it is precisely the most common type of claim under short-term policies.

Points to Watch For
Warning

Outside the platform, there is no automatic coverage: this is the main argument for supplemental coverage, as outlined on page 2.6, even before making your first direct reservation.
